After much justified abuse for lack of posting I thought I had better post. We just got back from a little break down in Florida with Julie and Crowie. We checked out Disney, rocked down to the art deco architecture of Miami and finally ended up in Key West. It was great to hang out with some good friends and just chill. Disney was Disney - not much more to say. Miami was pretty cool - the art deco hotels along South Beach definately set it apart from your average beach front destination. Its the place for the rich and famous to hang out. Crowie bumped into Niaomi Campbell in the local Walgreens. On our first night Colin Farrell and Jamie Fox had a party in the hotel next door - unfortunately our invite was misplaced. Key West was just a bit weird to be honest. A pretty free thinking part of America. the fishing however was excellent. Crowie and I bagged about a dozen fish though Crowie had the catch of the day - a two and a half foot sand shark.

Well we are off to Ireland for the wedding of Reben to Louisa - should be a fantastic gig. opefully we will see lots of you soon.

Regent College

Thought I would put in a picture of Regent College so you guys can have a visual image of where we are studying. Its not acutally that big - this is pretty much it. Our current President when he first arrived thought this was J I Packer's office and wondered were the rest of the college was.

This is our preaching prof at a recent bowling night - we never like to let our hair down!

We are entering the last week of term before exam week so life is pretty busy over here. Having said that in 2 weeks will will have finished our second year here but we don't like to talk about that. It is pretty scary how quickly time goes by.

My Music

Right Denilson and Reilly what is the deal with all the abuse about my music taste. There is not enough room on this site to outline all weaknesses! Rose and I went to hear Low and Pedro the Lion last Friday - two great bands, then as Reilly said we have Ambulance Ltd this Saturday.

U2 in Vancouver

It appears Bono and the boys are in town. They are using GM Place (the ice hockey arena) as the base for their North American tour. They have been spotted around town and can be heard rehearsing if you stand outside GM Place. They even played an impromtu gig at one of the Irish pubs in town on St Patrick's night.

Bono and his wife Ali have just launched a new fairly traded clothing line "Edun" which looks very exciting. They are using family run factories in countries like Peru and Lesotho. The clothes are pretty high end, selling in Selfridges and Saks but the prices aren't ridiculous and they are rasing awareness in an important market.

It is finished!

Its finished, it’s already been done Jesus shouts from the cross. It was finished before the resurrection. That is a challenge to many of us as Protestants who shun the suffering of the crucifix and celebrate the empty cross and the resurrection. It is finished Jesus shouts from the cross. We sit here in the Friday of the cross and Sunday is coming as Tony Campolo reminds us. But dwell a while in the Friday. It was finished on Friday! It was finished without us, in fact it had to be finished because of us. Now we must receive fully what was done on the cross.

Blogging for Beginners!

We're the beginners and this is a blog - apparently. A blog is the new must have item for this year and so we have decided to try one out to see if it improves our communication. It is kinda like having your own website but a little easier and cheaper -I think. We are going to try and post regularly on the site as well as put photos on it and recommend books and music. We are trying not to be too ambitious but hopefully this will let a lot of you know what we are up to and allow us to keep in better touch with you.

We are novices at the blogging game so it might take us a week or to to get the whole thing functioning properly  - bear with u during the early phases.

The news at the minute is that things are pretty good over here. Work is beginning to ramp up for both of us as we approach the end of term. The good news is that the sun is shinning which makes everything a bit more bearable. We are also engaged in some celebratey hunting. Bono and the boys are in town rehearsing for their tour. They keep being spotted around town and there is a rumour that Bono wants to meet up with our of our professors - maybe he will turn up in college! If not we think we might finally have secured some U2 concert tickets which would be great.

All the gang from the latest ski trip at Whistler. We had an amazing few days with a  group from Regent and Irene Miliken and Jeremy Bond. Snow was a little patchy but the weather was amazing.
